In this lesson, you will review how to create Student or Staff Templates. Only users with certain user rights can create Plan Templates.
Where to Start
Click Plans on the menu on the left hand side.
Select the site name you would like to save the template to under the Site drop down menu.
Note: If you are a district administrator building a template for multiple sites, select your district in the drop down.
Click on the Plan Category you would like to create a template in. See the guide Plans: Categories and Rights for instructions on how to create a plan category.
Click Create at the top of the page and then click Create Template.
If you would like the template to be a copy of another, select it in the drop down menu next to Template. If you would like to start fresh, choose Select a Template.
Type in a description for the template and select a template owner. The owner will have access to edit plans created with this template.
If the user you would like to assign as owner is not visible in this drop down menu, see the guide Plans: Categories and Rights to find out how to add them.
Note: Primary Evaluator and Site Manager will select the user with these titles based on the information provided by your district. The primary evaluator can be different for various staff members at the same site
Select the school year and if creating a staff member plan, select the standards used to evaluate the staff member.
Select the plan category you would like to include the plan in. Leave the box checked that says Template to indicate this is a template.
Click the plus sign if you would like to add a Tag to the template. When you are finished, click OK.
A pop-up will appear allowing you to assign user rights for the template. Check the boxes next to the rights you would like to assign to each person.
Team Members will be able to view the template, but not make changes. Contributors will be able to make changes and add To Do Items to the template.
Click OK when you are finished.
Note: A green pop-up will confirm the template was saved as well as the users associated.
