In this lesson, you will review how to navigate a report in Insights. The Insights dashboard reporting solution includes an ultra-fast data visualization layer that immediately loads all of your student data into a single view. This article contains information on how to navigate through the basic features of a report. For more detailed information, please refer to the Dashboard Reporting Solution User Guide attached below.
Where to Start
Clicka data point. The selected data is highlightedand filters entire visual.
Use the buttons in the top left corner of the main visual to drill up and down through each level in the hierarchy. This view shows Enrollment by School.
Users can also drill through and view data by right-clicking on any data point.
Use the filters surrounding the main visual to view specific data in the report.
The See Records option allows users to view the data that powers the visual. Hover over See Records to reveal the menu and choose Focus Mode.
The table of records can be sorted by the header row and exported by clicking on the ellipses menu.
Finally, Subgroup donuts show the subgroup breakdown and counts of students for the data displayed on the main visual. Click on a subgroup section of a donut to filter the main visual and other donuts to show only those students.
